Devereux Glenholme School
Address: 81 Sabbaday Lane
Washington, CT, 06793
Description: The Glenholme School is a boarding school for special needs students situated on over 100 idyllic acres of Connecticut countryside. Children, ages 5 to 16, at admission, who need a highly structured learning environment can prosper in this safe, nurturing school. It provides a value-based program to show students the way to academic success.

The student who is not doing well in the traditional public or private school can find success at Glenholme. Self-contained and departmentalized classes, small group and individualized instruction, emphasis on living and social skills, and a value-based community guide children on a path of personal accomplishment and growth. Academic difficulties and behavioral problems can be addressed simultaneously in a place where the emphasis is on the "whole" child.

Services include a comprehensive academic curriculum, nursing staff, speech and language and psychological and social work related services, a complete residential treatment program, day treatment, extended day out-patient services and licensed therapeutic foster care.

This program accepts residential students referred by school districts. The program also provides services to residential students who have been placed by public agencies for other than educational reasons.
